A Nova Scotia native, Ben is an award- winning director, a 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur, and the founder and creative force behind Breakwater Studios. Once a world champion in sleight-of-hand magic, he now opens the imagination of his audiences with films that are filled with wonder and humanity. Proudfoot’s latest series, Almost Famous, profiling several surprising historical figures who were one small step from fame and celebrity, was released with the New York Times to widespread acclaim.“That’s My Jazz” had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and received the coveted Vimeo Staff pick.
