Inventing Tomorrow

Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 7pm at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center–555 Middlefield Road, Atherton, CA.

Screening followed by a Q&A conversation with Laura Nix, Director; and students featured in the film: Sahithi Pingali from India, and Jesús Alfonso Martínez Aranda & Jose Manuel Elizade Esparaza, from Mexico.

Follow seven passionate young scientists and innovators from India, Mexico, Indonesia and Hawaii as they tackle some daunting environmental issues facing humanity today — right in their own backyards. Each student is preparing original scientific research for the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), considered the Olympics of high school science fairs, attracting 1800 finalists from over 75 countries. Meet these teenagers, with their own unique struggles, who are navigating the typical doubts and insecurities that mark adolescence as they prepare to leave home, some for the very first time, to attend this competition. They will win your hearts and give you hope for the future of our planet!
