With our first-ever Virtual Film Forum just around the corner (Saturday, June 27th at 7pm PDT), we’ve rounded up our top tips for setting up the optimal at-home viewing experience.
First, be sure to check your Wi-Fi connection. If it seems spotty and cuts in and out, try resetting your Wi-Fi box. If you’re still having issues, call your internet service provider to address the problem ahead of time.
If all else fails, have a backup plan. While not ideal, your cell phone can stream using cellular data.
Be sure to bookmark or save the link for the Virtual Film Forum (will be sent out 24-48 hours prior to the event) for easy access.
Second, bring the movie theater to your living room. If you can, connect your smartphone or computer to your TV via wireless connection or HDMI cable for ideal viewing.
If you are unable to connect your TV, make sure your computer or laptop is set at a comfortable eye level. If you’re sitting at a desk chair, you may want to prop a pillow behind your back and kick your feet up onto a step stool or ottoman.
Third, get cozy and have fun! Whether you feel like wearing your cozy pants or getting dressed up as if you were going to The Center for Performing Arts at Menlo-Atherton, do whatever makes you feel good. Grab your favorite beverage and popcorn, kick back and relax!
We hope you enjoy the 2020 Windrider Virtual Film Forum and to “see you” there! Connect with us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and share your thoughts on this year’s films!
