After watching Skid Row Marathon and Refugee at the 2018 Windrider Bay Area Film Forum, Windrider community member Tina Teng-Henson was determined to do something to give back to the homeless and refugees as seen in the films.
In an attempt to do something fun and creative, she decided to host a painting day on September 29th, 2018 to help raise funds for the Skid Row Running Club and Asylum Access. The event was held at at the New Beginnings Community Church in Redwood City where Tina is a pastor. She named the event ‘Paint with a Purpose’ to encourage people to think about these issues and ways in which we can give back.

We love telling stories about big human issues in a way that makes people care and want to help out in some way. So thank you, Tina, for being a part of our mission and having such a kind heart to take action!
Here are some pictures of the event and the lovely paintings they created!
